This beautiful, hand-felted Mushroom House is perfect for small world fairy and gnome dolls or finger puppets. The house sits on a grassy forest-scape with a stone path, small mushrooms, and even a little pond with birds! It has double doors in front that open, and the roof can be lifted up for play and storage. Windows, flowers, and a tree surround the house.
Due to the handmade nature, there may be slight variations.
- Handmade by artisans in a family-owned fair trade workshop in Nepal. They employ 200 women artisans and provide a fair wage, job training, and medical expense reimbursement. A portion of profits goes toward paying school tuition for employees’ children in Nepal.
- 100% natural wool. No harsh chemicals used during production.

When I pulled this house out of the box, I understood my daughter’s request for me to get it as a birthday present for my 3 yo granddaughter. It is as beautiful and enchanting as the images, larger than I thought, and wonderfully constructed. From the moment it was unwrapped at the party, little (and big) girls have kept the house active with a constant rotation of fairy visitors. Plans are made to expand to a thriving village. Stockings will be full of fairies come Christmastime. Thank you for this sweet collection.
I can hardly wait to give this hand-felted fairy house to my 4-year-old granddaughter for Christmas! It is a little work of art that, combined with a selection of the soft finger puppets I bought to go with it, should inspire hours of creative play. I look forward to watching her play with it and share the adventures with her new baby sister as she becomes old enough to join in - no sharp edges or brittle plastic to worry about causing any mishaps as the girls grow and use their imagination to create their very own fairy tales:-).
